First Aldi Shopping Experience

Over the weekend we shopped at Aldi for the first time. We didn’t have one single quarter and had to shop without a cart, so we only bought what our arms could carry(first mistake). Not only do you need a quarter to unlock your shopping cart, but you need to bring bags to carry your groceries home in. We didn’t(second mistake).  We were able to purchase one large reusable bag for $1.99 that held all our groceries. We didn’t have that many, remember, we were shopping without a cart.

Their prices were great over all, and we will be going back. With a quarter next time. Here is what we got:

10 lb potatoes, 4 lb oranges, 1 lb carrots, 5 lb flour, 3 lb onions, 3 lb sweet potatoes, 3 large peppers, 1 large eco bag, 2 lb bananas

All for $16.15 including the $1.99 grocery bag.

  1. That’s how the Save a Lots are in Greensboro …you have to have a quarter to unlock the carts! Strange but that’s how it is.
