We had a great Thanksgiving and Christmas! Time has flown by quickly and it’s now a new year. It is birthday season at our house, and we have already celebrated Quentin Jr’s birthday.
We have an abundance of deer meat. Quentin is dragging out his 6th deer as I type. There is just so much you can do with venison, and I love not having to buy much meat. Thursday night Madison made up this delicious pot pie recipe. Really, it was yummier than yummy!
Deer Pot Pie
1 LB deer roast cut into cubes
3 cups vegatables (used potatoes, carrots, and sugar snap peas)
Herbs of preference(used fresh parsley)
2 cups water
1/3 cup flour
2 Pie crusts(your choice)
Cook meat in two table spoons of oil. Add vegatables and herbs. Cook till tender. Add water and flour then bring to boil for 2 min. Pour into bottom pie crust and add top crust. Bake at 325 for 30 min. or until browned.
I hope to get back to blogging really soon. Have a Happy New Year!
