It’s a Hard Life

Yep, she has it rough!

Hi, I hope everyone is having a great week.  It sure is flying by-Wednesday already.  We are on our second week of school and are now doing History and Math.  We are taking a three day weekend so only one more day to go this week.

After school on Monday and Tuesday, I worked on putting in more fence posts.  It had been a while since I worked on them.  I want to have it done by winter so I really need to keep at it.

We picked green beans yesterday and got 7 quarts.  We didn’t get any last year because of these little, yellow, prickly looking bugs.  They are back this year on one patch of green beans.  Luckily my kids planted the beans in four different places so they haven’t found them all!

I have clothes that need to be hung out to dry, then we will rummage through the garden to see what we can find.  There isn’t anything else that has to be done today.  I will do some weeding and just spend some lazy time with the kids.

  1. Your beans look so nice. We blanch and freeze ours in vacuum seal bags. I have never had good luck bottling them. They turn white throughout the season after doing them. Thank you for the nice comments. Your wings sound so good. Jerry does not cook anything that can’t go in the deep fryer. I seem to do all the cooking.Hehe! I love BBQ food.
take care and have a great evening witt the family.

  2. Wow! Your beans did great. 🙂 Seems like you guys are really getting back into the swing of school. We have been plugging away also. Your cat looks cozy. What a hard life. LOL.
